Notification of our new Alert Management Tool – NMVS Alerts
As part of our efforts to support the Falsified Medicines Directive and the associated Delegated Regulation, SecurMed are pleased to announce the implementation of a new NMVS Alerts Management tool called NMVS Alerts. This tool will be available in the Autumn 2022.
Who will have access?
NMVS Alerts will be available to all users connected to the UKNI MVS, including Community Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers, GPs, Dispensing Doctors, Health Centres and Marketing Authorisation Holders.
What does it deliver?
NMVS Alerts is supplied free to all UKNI users and supports the necessary escalation and alert investigation procedures for FMD. It is an intuitive and time-saving tool designed as a collaboration platform for all involved FMD stakeholders. Its improved functionality enables easy resolution of alerts to provide greater confidence for the user when dispensing Prescription Only Medicines (POMs).
How will you access it?
End Users can access the system in 2 ways:
- Via an Alert Notification Email, which will contain a link for the user to investigate a single Alert. This access is temporary only for the purpose of resolving that 1 alert.
- An End User can set up an Account (no cost involved) which will enable them to log into the NMVS Alerts system at any time to review ALL alerts raised by their UKNI MVS account. It will be available via a link from the SecurMed website, and replaces the existing interim Alerts Portal, which you may have previously used.
When is this happening?
We are currently in the process of testing and expect implementation to begin in Q3 2022.
What do you need to do?
This communication is to inform you of the new tool, and to let you know that we will use the Primary Contact details we currently hold for your SecurMed UKNI MVS Account as the main contact for NMVS Alerts.
If you would prefer we use an alternative contact, please email the preferred contact details to us (Name and Email address) at [email protected]. This will ensure Alerts are sent to the correct mailbox at your organisation.
